OB/W label about to resume activities! - Selo OB/W prestes a retomar as atividades!

Hi there,
I had been on the road for about one year, visiting a lot of beautiful places in different countries, in Europe, North and South America, and I haven't been living in the UK since March 2011. In August 2011 I relocated to Brazil and had my Paypal account blocked/limited...
Only now, that I am in love and properly settling in Sao Paulo (fit and working again, hehe), that I am preparing to resume the work with the label.
Of course, it will still be something DIY, unpretentious etc.
Today I had my Paypal account restored, so I'm able to receive payments again. I had been having problems with bandcamp, because people wanted to buy stuff from the label and Paypal wouldn't work, but now this is all resolved and you can buy anything you want from http://ob-w.bandcamp.com/! :-)
And soon there will be new stuff out, more good and sincere music for you, yeah!

Eu tinha estado na estrada por cerca de um ano, visitando um monte de lugares bonitos em diferentes países, na Europa, América do Norte e do Sul, e eu não venho mais morando no Reino Unido desde março de 2011. Em agosto de 2011 me mudei para o Brasil e tive a minha conta Paypal bloqueada/limitada...

The name Hallo Driver comes from a nick name Walden Barin got in Germany when driving for the band Tamborines during their European tour of Nov/Dec 2010 (the nick was Hell Driver!).

The project is inspired mostly by Link Wray, Modern Lovers, The Fall, Stooges, Mummies and Velvet Underground.

Line-up:
Walden: drums, guitar, keyboard, vocal;
Larry Barin: guitar, drums, keyboard, vocal;
Becca Terry: guitar;
Frank Davey: vocal, keyboard, guitar;
Chokito: bass.

Recorded by Walden using a Zoom R16 portastudio.
Drums recorded with help from Walter Reis at the upstairs rehearsal room of Studio 284 in Brighton, UK, in a 2 hour slot sometime in January 2011.
Guitars, keyboard and vocal recorded at home, Brighton, UK, in an afternoon sometime in February 2011.
Bass recorded at Chokito's place, in London, UK, in a couple hours sometime in February 2011.

Mixed by Walden between February and March 2011, using Audacity on MacBook, in Brighton, Glasgow, UK, and Jersey City, USA.

This is the new EP from Larry Barin’s project.

Larry is Lauro Zanin, he used to play the guitar in the Barins.
Barins had to split up just because of Larry’s age. He was 13 years old and no pub landlords in Brighton wanted him to stay in their premises...

Anyway, after Barins split up, Larry began composing and recording on his own.

This EP is totally different from everything he had recorded so far, here you find Sursis at his most indiepop moments!
So if you dig Beat Happening, Modern Lovers, Pastels, Violent Femmes, Vaselines, well, you need to check this out!
